Sonny has wide & varied experience covering 25 years of engagement in the areas of hospitality, marketing, corporate communications, training & development, media & event management, service quality, CSR & community development.

Earning a B.A. in Hotel & Restaurant Administration from Washington State University, Sonny has work in various 5 and 4-Star properties in Singapore and Malaysia. He is an appointed Hotel Star Rating Examiner by the Ministry of Tourism Malaysia.

With a passion in community and social work, Sonny now dedicates his time in various Community Development and CSR programs. He has held key positions in several NGOs, such as, General Manager of the Young Achievers Club and Director of Operations of Protect & Save The Children. His is the Honorary Secretary of Community Support Network and a Council Member of Selangor Cheshire Home. He is currently assisting the Petaling Jaya City Council in developing their Child Friendly City initiatives and overseeing the Selangor Cheshire Home Economic Empowerment Programme for youths with learning disabilities. He is also a member of the panel of judges for the Petaling Jaya City Council’s Annual Sustainable Neighbourhood Awards.

He is a MIM-ARM Certified Professional CSR Manager and a MIM Certified Professional Trainer (with PSMB/SBL certification).
