Brian LaricheBrian Lariche is Associate Director of ARM. He started his career as a tutor of Malay language and culture for local colleges and corporate bodies. He then moved on to corporate community partnerships by starting one of the earliest Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) companies in Malaysia in 2000. In June 2009, he went solo and created Lariche Community with a heavier focus on community development and sustainability.

 

Brian is a frequent resource person and facilitator for various national and international NGOs with vast experience in the area of community development both in Malaysia and internationally. He worked as Project Adviser for UNDP Malaysia in the area of HIV, focusing on developing leadership in Malaysia in this area. He was also a trainer facilitator for the British Government on the Regional Young Global Community Leaders Program and also the Accelerated Learning Program for Regional Chevening Scholars. He is currently a mentor for the SPROUT - Taking It Global online mentorship program on project management and community development based in Canada and continues to consult for international agencies.

Brian Lariche has published, written, translated and adapted numerous books and brochures on socio-medical issues. He sits on a variety of committees both local and international organisations and conferences on social issues including the Expert Panel for Aids Accountability International based in Sweden. He is also a recurrent speaker for international/local conferences and forums.

Brian is currently in his last semester of his MBA (June 2010) and will finish his Masters in Public Administration (MPA) in the first quarter of 2011.
